WRECK; Norwich’s young 3 piece garage rock outfit was formed in the summer of 18’, playing rambunctious, sleazy and undeniably attentive rock and roll.
WRECK was initially started as a bedroom project by frontman Diogo da Silva, and guitarist Matt Kennedy, but only became fully established after the two acquired, drummer, Sam Serazin to complete the three piece. WRECK immediately began writing/jamming and booking gigs throughout their home city of Norwich, and instantly started to gain traction in the city with talk of their wild, passionate, and unruly shows amongst the local scene. Taking influence from both the proto punk and psychedelic era of rock and roll, the band incorporate a modern sound and modern themes in their songwriting, which keeps them up to date and relatable to their fans, whilst still sounding as vintage as ever.
Having spent the whole of 2019 filling up the calendar playing up and down the UK supporting the likes of Gaffa Tape Sandy, DBoy and Electric Eel Shock, at some of the most bustling underground venues for up and coming bands in the country, The Shacklewell Arms in London, The Hope and Ruin in Brighton, and The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds, the band teamed up with notable producer Tarek Musa. Most recognised for his work as the wunderkind frontman for Spring King, producing not just their records but for bands such as Circa Waves, The Big Moon and Calva Louise, WRECK went on to record and release their 4-track studio EP; 'Satisfied?' in Musa's studio in Liverpool. This saw the, already promising, new band take on a wild and exhilarating new sound, showcasing that they really mean business and are certainly to be heard by most in the coming years.
The band continues to explore new sounds and play shows up and down the UK leaving a trail of recklessness in their wake...
